Senior Water Resources Engineer or Hydrologist

(8-15 years’ experience with Colorado water resources and water rights)

A little information about us: BBA Water Consultants, Inc. is a consulting firm specializing in water rights, water resources planning and ground and surface water hydrology. Located in Englewood, CO, with branch office in Salida, CO, BBA provides services to clients in the Western United States, mostly but not exclusively, within the State of Colorado. BBA’s clients include a variety of public and private entities including municipalities, ranchers, ski resorts, local and federal government, and others. BBA celebrates 44 years in business in 2024.

We are seeking applications for a full-time position as a senior water resources engineer or hydrologist from applicants with the following skills and qualifications:

• BS or MS in civil or agricultural engineering, hydrology, or water resources.
• Eight to 15 years of experience in Colorado water rights and/or other areas of water resources.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and strong grasp on Colorado water rights administration, Colorado water law, and historical use analyses. Familiarity with GIS, geology, and well drilling are a plus.
• Registration as a PE or PH certification.

BBA staff mostly work in the Englewood office with flexibility to split a portion of time working from home. BBA provides its staff a robust suite of in-office and remote access and communication tools for data access and teamwork. The right applicant could alternatively join our team in Salida.
