Gravel and Aggregate Mining

In Colorado, special rules address water rights for sand and gravel mining operations. Sand and gravel, by its nature, often involves interactions with both ground water and adjacent streams. BBA has worked with aggregate miners throughout the State to develop, implement and account for water operations through substitute water supply (SWSP) and augmentation plans. Our experience allows us to guide mine planning on the front end to minimize legacy water costs and obligations.
