Water Supply Planning and Water Rights

Acknowledged as one of the largest changes of water rights use in Colorado history, BBA assisted with the water court change of use for approximately one-half of the Amity Canal, which diverts from the Arkansas River, for use by a future power plant. Tasked with an ambitious schedule, BBA successfully executed the water court application through the final water rights decree in an unprecedented 20-month period for 20,000 af of consumptive water use.
