Geologist/Hydrogeologist

BBA Water Consultants, Inc. (BBA) is seeking applications to immediately fill a full-time position as a hydrogeologist to assist with hydrogeologic investigations, well design and construction, ground water modeling and water rights investigation in Colorado and the Rocky Mountain area.

A little information about us: BBA is a consulting firm specializing in water rights, water resources planning and ground and surface water hydrology. Located in Englewood, CO, BBA provides services to clients in the Western United States, mostly within the State of Colorado. BBA’s clients include a variety of public and private entities including municipalities, ranchers, ski resorts, local and federal government, and others. BBA celebrates 44 years in business in 2024.

We are seeking applications for a full-time position as a geologist/hydrogeologist from applicants with the following skills and qualifications:

• BS or MS in geology or hydrogeology.
• Five to ten years of experience in Colorado and/or other areas of water resources.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Proficiency with database and spreadsheet software. Skills related to Colorado water rights administration, GIS, MODFLOW preferred.
• Registration as a GIT or PG or plans to pursue licensure as a professional geologist.

BBA staff mostly work in the Englewood office with flexibility to split a portion of time working from home. BBA provides its staff a robust suite of in-office and remote access and communication tools for data access and teamwork.

The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $130,000 annually, depending on factors including level of applicable experience and education.
