2025 Summer Internship

We are excited to offer a paid summer internship opportunity at BBA Water Consultants, Inc. (BBA), a leading water resources engineering firm based in Englewood, CO. BBA provides water resources consulting services to a wide variety of clients, including municipalities, water conservation groups, agricultural water users, ski resorts, and residential communities. This internship offers a motivated student the chance to gain hands-on experience while working alongside a dynamic team of engineers, geologists, and hydrologists on impactful water resources and water rights projects.

Key Details:

• Location: Englewood, CO
  (hybrid schedule with approximately four days in office per week)
• Duration: Flexible start and end dates, with a minimum 8-week commitment
• Compensation: From $20-$30 per hour, depending on qualifications

Prerequisites:

• Completion of at least three years of undergraduate education
• Completion of one or more introductory courses in the following topics:
• Water resources engineering
• Hydrology
• Hydrogeology
• Geology
• Water Rights

Internship Focus:

As an intern at BBA, you will develop a solid understanding of water rights and water resources management in Colorado. Opportunities available to the intern may include:

• Developing location maps and interpreting geologic mapping
• Analyzing datasets using Excel, Access, and online databases
• Measuring streamflow, measuring well water levels, and assisting with pond surveys
• Supporting test or production well drilling operations
• Assisting with augmentation plan and substitute water supply plan operations
• Investigating climate trends, snowpack levels, water levels, and streamflow conditions
• Assisting with aquifer and river modeling
